About Five Crown Fitness Dance & Cheer Training
Five Crown Fitness youth classes are designed to improve the athlete’s technical dance, cheer and acrobatic skills, abilities, and performance quality. These classes will use specific conditioning tools to help fine-tune the technical skills required to be a successful athlete without the obligation of performance or recital.
MEET THE DIRECTOR
Alexis (DeCapua) Pacheco brings over two decades of experience in dance education, coaching, professional dancing, judging and choreography.
Alexis has danced professionally as captain and choreographer for the Detroit Pistons Dance Team, where she was chosen with an elite group of pro dancers to perform for the NBA/ESPN international tour. She has performed for MoreDances Contemporary Dance Company, Michigan Opera Theatre, Eisenhower Dance Ensemble, MGM Grand Detroit and Caesars Windsor casino as Dance Captain.
Alexis is a certified personal trainer, nutritional specialist and a certified Health and Wellness coach. As the co-owner of Five Crown Fitness, she combines her skills as an educator with her love for fitness.
Technique is the fundamentals of dance, made possible by a strong and flexible body. Foundational kinesiology principals will be executed using props such as bands, blocks and yoga balls to increase athleticism while giving specific feedback for stronger dance technique.
ATHLETIC BALLET TECHNIQUE
Ballet is the foundation for all dance and is also used in technique, jazz and lyrical styles. We will discover functional ballet moves that transfer to all dance styles, gymnastics and ice skating. Dancers should wear a black leotard, tan tights and ballet shoes. Cover ups or shorts may be worn.
ACRO FOR DANCE
Dancers can expect to learn the mechanics, athleticism and technique of acrobatics as it is used specifically for dance. Skills are trained to be performed without equipment such as backflips, handsprings and tucks. Dancers will progress through levels as their skill increases, regardless of age.
YOUTH BOOT CAMP
The kids bootcamp training program is a great way to help kids increase self-confidence while building strength and agility. Always keeping safety in mind, the program consists of fun and exciting workouts that prevent boredom and burnout.
POM, CHEER, & DANCE TRAINING
Cheerleaders & Dancers can expect to learn the the basic movements of dance & cheer. This class is perfect for those looking for an introduction into dance without the commitment of recitals and competitions. Classes are kept upbeat, fun, and engaging.
Dance Training Membership Information
- Unlimited Dance/Cheer Training Membership: Youth dancers pay just $109 per month for unlimited access to conditioning, athletic ballet technique, beginner dance training, youth boot camp, and Acro for Dance classes. Advisement on dancers skill level will be made by the instructors once enrolled and can change at any time.*
- Family Membership: This package is designed for the family. As just $159, this allows multiple family members of any age to book unlimited classes in both dance training and fitness. If you would like to add additional family members, it is only $25/person. *
- 10 Class Pack: Mix and match any class or try them all for just $189! Perfect for short term or seasonal participation and valid for 60 days after purchase. No refunds or returns given for missed classes or expiration.
- Private and Semi-Private Package: This package is for dancers looking to book private training, cleaning or choreography. Appointments are 45 minutes long and can apply to solos, duos or trios. $75 per session or $249 for 4 sessions.
*For all recurring memberships there is no fee to join or cancel. 30 Day notice on cancellation required. Payment will be ran on the first of each month and mid month add-ons will be pro-rated.
